Mac OS X Leopard Network Icon for Windows
Tuesday, December 11, 2007
We've all seen the "PC" guy in the "Hi, I'm a Mac" commercials. These ads uphold a long standing tradition that Apple has of poking fun at Windows. I don't love them for their subtly, I save up that appreciation for more covert branding, such as Leopard's representation of a networked PC.

I first snickered at the beige CRT monitor (I still want to know who said "hey, lets paint them dirty so they look like new in 5 years!"). Then I noticed the blue screen of death, the likes of which most PC users haven't seen too much of for years, yet the memory remains clear as yesterday.
While on the topic, I use to consider Windows a predecessor of Free-BSD (it's an acronym joke, now laugh).
